Hypertension occurs when the force of blood pushed against the artery walls increased so much than normal(120/80mmHg).
In other words, when blood pressure increased; The force of blood pushed against the walls of the arteries.

BP=CO*PR.
where BP=Blood pressure, Co=cardiac output, and PR=peripheral resistances.
Cardiac output (known as ‘Q’) is a measure of the amount of blood that is pumped out of the heart in one minute.
‘Q’ specifically refers to the amount of blood pumped out of the left ventricle as it is the ventricle that supplies blood to the muscles and organs of the body.
Peripheral resistance is the pressure exerted on the blood vessel as the heart ejects blood. The higher the peripheral resistance, the higher the BP.
The average blood pressure of the body is 120/80.
The blood pressure is made up of the systolic blood pressure and diastolic blood pressure. The systolic blood pressure is the pressure exerted as the heart first contracts.
Diastolic blood pressure is the pressure exerted by the heart as the heart relaxes from contraction.
Systolic blood pressure ranges from 90-140mmHg, whilst diastolic blood pressure ranges from 60-90mmHg.
Blood pressure with systolic blood pressure above 140mmHg and with diastolic blood pressure above 90mmHg is considered pre-high blood pressure.

There are factors that may affect blood pressure.
Diet:Excessively fatty foods
Anxiety disorders(disorders that involves strong fear and worries)
Family history:BP can run through the family when a member of the family has it.
Sedentary lifestyle:Living a sedentary lifestyle is living a life without any active exercises. This leads to increased blood pressure (hypertension) simply because, exercise keeps the body warm enough and this causes vasodilatation, thereby reducing the peripheral resistance and reducing BP. Living a life without exercise, may increase the peripheral resistance and increased BP.
Inadequate sleep: inadequate sleep or not been able to sleep may increase your risk of developing high blood pressure.
Hyperextension may increase one's risk of getting stroke
Stroke is the second most common cause of mortality worldwide. Stroke is a paralysis, usually at one side of the body as a result of insufficient/no blood reaching brain either Through ischemic or haemorrhagic lesion in the brain.
Haemorrhagic stroke type occurs as a result of hypertension, where the Increased blood pressure result in arterial aneurysm, which then raptures and may prevent blood flow to the brain causing death of brain cells.
Arterial aneurysm can lead to stroke.

However, consuming a very rich foliage foods may be helpful in preventing hypertension while eating enough fruits and having adequate sleep, exercise can be very helpful too.
FOODS TO PREVENT HYPERTENSION AND FOR HYPERTENSIVE PATIENTS
FOODS TO AVOID
One must be physically active all the time to help reduce risk of developing hypertension. Spending time in aerobic exercise would be helpful.

AEROBIC EXERCISES prescribed by under the supervision of physiotherapy technician would be helpful in managing hypertension.
Hypertension is a serious risk factor of haemorrhagic stroke. Stay protected from hypertension and freed yourself from stroke
